On Monday night, President have a speech at the National Boy Scout Jamboree. If you haven't watched it yet, I'd suggest viewing the video below before reading anything else from this thread.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lch4Bql6Baw

I write this as an Eagle Scout. I am a part of the class of 2002 and earned the rank at age 15. I think it was disgusting to berate Obama, Clinton and Sessions, promote an agenda, and curse in front of moral and upstanding young gentlemen. Now as you may know, I'm not one of Trump's biggest fans at all. I grew up a Boy Scout and attended the 2001 Jambo with Bush'43 giving his address. Say what you want to about Bush but he was cordial in his speech and didn't use it as a campaign rally like Trump has. If I was a contingent Troop Leader at Jambo, I can tell you that I would have walked my boys out. Why, the boy scouts are apolitical. Or duty to country is for us to decide, not to be indoctrinated by a campaign rally speech. I feel offended that the Boy Scouts of America allowed this to happen.

Note for clairification, I'd post the 2001 speech if I could find it.

The media and Trumps followers keep feeding his ego and he seems to need it fed on a regular bases more often the not. Every where he goes he has to feel the need to tell everyone about how Hillary or Obama or someone else would of been a worse choice. I think in all realty those who voted for him know better but fear of being wrong keeps them from admitting it.

Telling a bunch of 12 year olds this only reinforces it. It just shows everyone what an egomaniac we have for our president.

Why didn't the Boy Scouts organization just walk out. I'd be pissed if my son had to stand there and listen to this moron speak about anything else but the Boy Scouts. Shame on the organization for not moving those boys out of there. Totally inappropriate speech.

That entire speech could be played just as it is ,run on SNL, and it would be funnier than any skit they could concoct. I watched that entire speech in disbelief, it was so off the hook and strange that I felt like I was watching some parody of Trump. What human being acts like that ?

He is one crazy SOB.

I was a boy scout, an Eagle at that, courtesy is a two-way street. Trump doesn't deserve mine. Had I been there, I would have walked my troop out of that. Politics have no damn place in the BSA.

I support the BSA, they were wrong and are caught holding the bags here for Trump. My father a former scout and scouter himself thought they should have cut the mic on him.
