I know lots of Mexicans that have kids named Jesus and I kinow they pronounce it "Hey Sues" but it is still spelled Jesus. I have never known a white kid named Jesus. If a white kid were named Jesus, would it be pronounced "Hey Sues" or "Gees Us"? Do you know a white- or even a black- kid named Jesus?

Yes, I have encountered a few Black people named Jesus - and they pronounced it "Hey-Zeus" if I remember correctly. I also believe they were Cuban/Afro-Caribbean, which would explain the Spanish pronunciation. Why are you asking? Just sheer curiosity?

How about this: The "white kid" would pronounce it however he or his parents wanted to pronounce it.

Just as an aside: I think a lot of Latinos consider themselves to be "white".

I can't say I've ever met a white kid named "Jesus"....you got me there. Very few "Angels" or "Rodrigos", either. Come to think of it, I've never met a Jewish kid named "Bubbah", either, nor a Chinese kid named "Billy Joe"....hmmmm. Of course, they may be OUT there..it's just that I haven't met them.

White kids are not named Jesus because they probably don't look like Jesus did. They are more likely to be named "George".

Kids who look like Jesus probably looked are named Hussein.
