There is no Federal law requiring people to stand for the anthem. Should there be?

And, finally, should the U.S. President (regardless of who he is) tell private companies to fire employees whose behavior he doesn't like?
There are some people that can't stand, or have problems standing or standing for varying lengths of time.

If there was an injured player who was there, I would not be expecting them to be standing either.

Now, President Bonkers has made it into a bigger thing by telling NFL owners to fire these sons of ******* (his words).

Now, both the OWNERS and and PLAYERS and most AMERICANS are enraged by trump and his constant race baiting.

While his base loves these s*** storms he gins up to take Russian, Healthcare, the Wall, DACA, etc. out of the news, everyone one else sees this mental patient for what he is.
Most Americans agree with President Bonkers. & since the NFL owners didn't listen, a significant percentage of American males will be "firing these sumbiches".

I did several years ago (both football and baseball). Amazing how much more time that I now have to spend with my family on Sundays.

The Players & Owners (& any weenies enraged by Trump) can sit on my thumb and rotate.

It was a dumb idea for a protest. Maybe they should wear wristbands instead.

Good. They shouldn't have to.

Of course it is. My memories of sports events go back to about 1960 and I don't remember there ever being a time when it wasn't typical and routine for athletes and fans at major sports events to stand for the national anthem.

The Steelers are forcing them to sit. Do you actually think every player wants to do this? Why didn't every single one of them sit before or show support for a team mate who did? Their hand is being forced. Don't be a free thinking individual, be part of group think.

It was a dumb idea for our bobblehead of a President to ignite such an outrage.
