Yes, it is a dark message. The players don't need to show gratitude. They worked hard to achieve. No one gave them anything.

Watch the next thing to happen Kaepernick will get picked up by an NFL team just as a swipe at Trump.

Maybe if the reality TV president stuck to politics instead of attacking athletes in stump speeches and on Twitter, they wouldn't feel the need to fight back. Not to mention as a whole they are much better liked than Trump and his merry band of social rejects. He's started yet another war he can't win.

What needs to happen is everyone needs to pull the "I'm offended" ***** from their rear ends. You'll feel better.

Every little thing is a crisis, except of course the actual problems we need to solve.

Currently the most significant problem regarding racism in America is people making false accusations of racism in order to inflame, and ultimately to divide Americans according to race.

OP would fit into that category.

The rest of America is no different:

Mom - "So, Johnny, wanna go to the boy scout rally and hear another nutty speech?"

Johnny - "Mo-om! I wanna go see the Patriots game! You promised!

He said there were "good people on both sides" when speaking of the tragedy at Charlottesville. How does killing someone during a peaceful protest make you a "good person"?

Guess what, snowflakes? Winter is coming and Trump keeps doing the crowd seeding to produce more snow - one "flake" at a time. That's how avalanches are made.
Why is there only two choices - wealthy season ticket holder or torch bearer at a rally? What about all the middle ground which could be people going to one less game, not renewing their NFL network subscription or buying less merchandise? They may not be Trump fans in the least.

I didn't view it that way, I assumed that they actually cared about what they are doing.
I am saying that people will use any opportunity they can to get their point across.

Trump has always had a problem with black men. He built his political career questioning the personal background of our first and only black president.

They should have been speaking out especially when the Donald Sterling situation happened and when that NFL player got killed by a non-cop who wasn't even charged. If it took Trump to light the fire under them, good. I'm glad they're finally finding their voices and getting out of the sunken place.

IMO that's a win for both Trump gets Kapernick a job and can take credit for reducing minority unemployment one person, one job at and time thus keeping his promise to black America. BTW Kapernick should thank Trump if that does happen.
