$1.89 here in Austin TX.

I may be in the minority here, but having traveled to 15 or so countries just in the past few years, I think we pay a crazy small amount for gas in the U.S. Complaining over our prices, even at their highs, is just *so* first-world.

Here in Cal we have been hit with a large STATE GAS TAX causing the price per gallon to jump about 5%. We are already the highest in the nation. I love it when someone complains how they have to pay $2.27g while when they were paying $2 we were paying $2.50-$3

The average price per gallon right now is about $2.90, and has ZERO to do with Trump.

Today’s Regional Prices
Following are the Central Valley average prices for Friday, July 28, driving from south to north, as reported by the American Automobile Association, with last week’s (July 21) averages in parentheses and [July 14] prices in brackets:

• Bakersfield, $2.938 ($2.933) [$2.949]

• Visalia-Porterville, $2.970 ($2.957) [$2.971]

• Fresno, $2.941 ($2.953) [$2.964]

• Merced, $2.874 ($2.890) [$2.920]

• Modesto, $2.738 ($2.740) [$2.752]

• Stockton-Lodi, $2.806 ($2.806) [$2.810]

• Sacramento, $2.819 ($2.825) [$2.835]

• Yolo, $2.759 ($2.771) [$2.764]

• Yuba City, $2.690 ($2.710) [$2.736]

• Chico, $2.741 ($2.745) [$2.736]

The market average price for self-serve regular gasoline in the Los Angeles-Long Beach area on July 28 is $2.935, up 2.4 cents since last Friday. In San Diego, the average price is $2.911, up 2.2 cents over the past seven days, the AAA says.

Central Valley Business Times

If you're only paying $2.27, be thankful because we haven't seen that here in years.

That has more to do with your state than Trump. Blame California.

It's 2.09 in some parts of Ohio.

This is such BS. Oil has ran between 57 and 49 give or take for a few years now. Its just getting to 50. If you don't understand how the stock market works and want commodity to stay at one price you are just not educated enough yet.

Under Obama, we were seeing record low gas prices, and they stayed down. In the past month or so, our gas prices locally went from $1.99, and overnight it jumped to $2.15. It slowly started to come back down, but they skyrocketed back up to $2.29, where it is staying right now.

What is up with that ? I thought Trump was going to make things better for us, or was he just interested in making his oil buddies more money ?
It's less than $2 where I live: Mobil, Shell and Exxon. Did your Florida gas taxes go up?

lol! They are the same prices they were last year where I'm at.
Don't forget the states that increased their gas tax....but I guess in your eyes the state voting on raising said taxes is Trump's fault too.

You do realize the President has no control over the fuel prices? If he did have any influence that would be you know socialism.

Nah, Florida has this effect on folks for coming out with random acts of insanity

Just Google Florida man
Forget doing crunches leg lifts and situps... your abs will be getting the best work out of your life...

While NY and California incessantly cry and whine... Florida man is out, to outdo himself.

The local news never fails to deliver the lols.
Channel 13 and 6 in upstate NY was all doom and gloom, more tax hikes, another shooting or stabbing in and around the capital region, houses burning down around Christmas time due to hoverboards... it was depressing...

Florida local news... they air the Jupiter PD on valentine's da of all days to reveal 2 married officers having an affair
Thought I was funny fire in the hole-ing McDonald's with a Wendy's frostie... down here, mess up Florida man's order, he throws a 6 foot gator in the drive through window, he doesn't have time for a petty milk shake... he plays for keeps and throws a North American death log in.

I remember in college doing a research paper on gas prices... NY California and CT highest state taxes on gasoline... NY and CT kind of makes sense... CA? Unless they've got constant earthquakes and tremors tearing up roads...

If memory serves correct CA was like 42 cents per gallon CT was 40 NY was 39.5 cents per gallon...
