Such a peaceful organization isn't it ?

---
Molotov cocktails, fireworks, and bottles have been hurled at police during a ‘Black Lives Matter’ riot in East London following the death of an alleged drug dealer.
Rashan Jermaine Charles, 20, died in hospital after being apprehended by police in Dalston, Hackney on the 22nd of July. He was attempting to flee a shop while swallowing a stash of drugs when tackled by officers, according to reports.

The death is being investigated by the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC).

Jul 28, 2017 We are investigating the circumstances of Rashan Charles’s death following contact with police in Kingsland Road, Hackney, on Saturday, 22nd July 2017. The following statement outlines investigative actions taken so far:
  • After we were told about the incident we sent investigators to the scene to begin collecting and securing evidence.
  • We also went to the post incident procedure, which is where initial statements were taken from officers involved.
  • Our investigators continue to collect and analyse a large amount of evidence. This includes police body worn video footage, and CCTV footage not in the public domain.
  • We are also gathering further witness statements from officers, paramedics who attended, and members of the public.
  • A member of the public visible on CCTV and involved in Rashan’s restraint is not connected to the police.
  • We have a dedicated Family Liaison Manager who is in regular contact with Rashan’s family providing them with information about the investigation.
  • We continue to engage with local community members and representatives. On Tuesday 25 July IPCC Commissioner Cindy Butts met with young people from the local area to talk about Rashan’s death, wider community policing issues, and the role of the IPCC.
  • We will continue to provide updates to Rashan’s family, the community, and the wider public, as we learn more and verify and confirm information.
  • The investigation is at an early stage, and all police officers and others involved including the member of the public who assisted in the restraint, are being treated as witnesses at this time. This will be kept under constant review as enquiries progress and as evidence is analysed.
  • We understand the concerns raised following Rashan’s death. We will independently examine the circumstances of this incident, we will follow the evidence, we will consider whether there is an indication there may have been misconduct or criminality, and we will seek to answer the questions that Rashan’s family and the community of Hackney understandably have.
  • As well as establishing the sequence of events of what happened, we will be looking at what police guidelines say should happen in these circumstances, if the officers involved followed them and whether there is any learning that could prevent deaths of this nature in future.
Independent investigation into the death of Rashan Charles – actions so far - IPCC

The cause of death is not yet known, however swallowing a stash of drugs is never a good idea.

They can throw as many stupid things as they like, the Metropolitan Police Riots Units with Riot Vans and Shields can easily deal with this kind of distrubance, and the sensible thing to do is to cooperate with the IPCC to help establish the facts before just jumping to conclusions.

Here is the thing: Black Lives Matter is an organization. It's also a rallying cry. At any black protest, people will use the phrase, even when the org has zero involvement. Some anarchists and bad actors occasionally show up. You see, this more balanced article mentions signs, but doesn't call it a Black Lives Matter protest:

I've heard this before , whenever it's something negative the "organization" never has any involvement right ?

One man who was at the demonstration told the BBC the protesters were "angry and confused" because they were "not being represented".

He suggested young people were "living in fear", adding they "don't understand how to live, how to make money, how to work for what they want", with some "forced into" situations such as selling drugs or carrying knives.
Funny, I'm a minority who grew up in one of America's worst ghettos and I was never "forced into" selling drugs or carrying knives.

Guess I never got the memo.

What evidence do you have that it is the org? The organization is not that powerful or significant. It doesn't have large membership numbers. You right wing nut jobs returned BLM if it's Soros funded bogieman to discredit black protest movements and spread racial hatred.

Regarding the comment above in red. I spewed Dr. Pepper onto my computer screen.

I will NEVER get tired of the British sense of humor.
