Sessions is doing the very same thing by not actually enforcing the law. The government could cut off the majority of the reason people come here. The GOP has the numbers. Cut off welfare. Arrest those hiring illegals. That would put a huge dent in illegal immigration but that isn't what they actually want.

And I am not aware of any city trying to entice illegal aliens to come there.

The Las Vegas approach is pretty much US standard. We ignore them.
They don't have to 'entice'. Putting out the word that yours is a sanctuary city is the same as hanging up a sign for all to see.

It's enticement enough.

As is, not enforcing our laws.

Doing so is a violation of federal law, as knowing in reckless disregard the fact that illegal aliens' coming to, entry, or residence is or will be in violation of federal law.

The law is quite clear on that.
You keep saying the same thing over and over and I keep waiting for evidence of an actual incident in which a Mayor, city council member or Police Chief violated federal immigration law. Do you have any proof at all, any concrete evidence? (your lay interpretation of federal law is NOT proof)

See post above. How do you view failure to enforce law?

Rahm Emanuel saying Chicago is a "sanctuary city" and welcoming any alien to come to and/or live in Chicago:

When City Councils (or whatever these city officials call themselves) vote to declare that their city is a sanctuary city, they have voted to violate federal law.

They should expect response in the form of sanctions from the federal government.

Perhaps because those who will not, claim they 'can not'.
