Ok.
Yes. My walls are covered with pictures of Maxine Waters, Kirsten Gillibrand, Pol Pot, Symbionese Liberation Army, Robert Mugabe and Fidel Castro. I founded a Facebook Group called "Liberal Democrats for Ted Cruz", but I am way to his left.

The problem, as I see it, is that the "progressives" can't build their urban/Utopian "dream state" without access to other people's capital (money) -- and many of us out here beyond the Blue Cities have found ways to get by, and comfortably, without as much of it.

And in return for this, we are often degraded as "ignorant hillbillies" -- or whatever. States like, for example, Nebraska (where I lived for about a year, and found reasonable employment within two weeks of my arrival, with no contacts) are permanent proof that the work ethic is alive and well, but the MTV crowd isn't going to go for it.

Real life is sooooh "un-trendy" and "non-Bi-Coastal"; BWAAAAAAAH!

Yeah...some "legal expert."

If anybody had been silly enough to hire Jeffrey Toobin to handle their case, they'd end up serving 25 to life.

For jaywalking and littering.

Antonin Scalia, who died this month, after nearly three decades on the Supreme Court, devoted his professional life to making the United States a less fair, less tolerant, and less admirable democracy. Fortunately, he mostly failed. Belligerent with his colleagues, dismissive of his critics, nostalgic for a world where outsiders knew their place and stayed there, Scalia represents a perfect model for everything that President Obama should avoid in a successor.

To the contrary, he reinstated the "plain language" doctrine when it came to construing statutes. A big accomplishment.

Toobin is a pretty good writer. I just finished American Heiress: The Wild Saga of the Kidnapping, Crimes and Trial of Patty Hearst by Jeffrey Toobin. Actually a rather good read. He seems to understand the rules of evidence. I would have to sit down with him to decide if we'd be the right person to represent each other.

You aren't, and I am conservative, but hoping RBG sees a return to as good a state of health as can be expected, given age and what she has been through medically.

I am delighted Trump has appointed 2-even more delighted the last occurred via retirement, not via death of a SC associate.

I am quite thrilled by both his appointments, even though I have a dim regard for Neil Gorsuch's mother.

Are you joking?!! Why would you support such a nasty guy? Even Trump thinks that the Cruz is nasty.

The nickname he made up for him was "Lyin' Ted." But I think he'll fill RBG's seat when all is said and done.
