A___hole in charge has a history of promoting violence. Nothing surprising here.

After a thug rapes a little girl , sure , roll the red carpet out and ask politely, please get into the patrol car.. with the guy kicking and screaming and trying to get away.
Different strokes for different folks.

"I'm a cop. I do not agree with or condone @POTUS remarks today on police brutality. Those that applauded and cheered should be ashamed." Ben Tobias, Gainesville PD. https://mobile.twitter.com/GPDBenTob...2F522561001%2F. (288,572 likes in less than 18 hours)

Police have a difficult enough job without Trump undermining them.

Chicago is the poster child for aggressive behavior which sometimes results in misconduct lawsuits.
Chicago paid $662 million for judgments, settlements and outside counsel between 2004-2016.

It has done nothing to reduce violent crime in the 5 Police Districts where most of the shootings occur.

Trump is such an idiot. His words actually hurt the police as it further reinforces negative preconceptions of them that many (particularly in the minority communities) already have.

If the police are truly as you say and brutality is the status quo, then we are in worse shape as a country than I ever thought. Law enforcement is not the mafia and no, people shouldn't be roughed up like Trump promotes. I'm all for criminals being punished and justice being served, but seriously, what is wrong with the mindset of people like you?

The police do a jam up job of that all by themselves and its not a preconception, its a fact borne out by a preponderance of evidence.
Trump is a dangerous authoritarian same as any cop.

And how many times have you seen something like this? Roll out the red carpet? Really? Overly dramatic much???

We don't have a national police force.
Shame on you for trying to pretend that we do.

As a postscript to what I said above about police brutality, I do happen to believe there is an overt amount of police brutality against people of color based on the evidence I have seen in recent history. However, that is a different subject for a different day. But for the President of the United States to promote brutality says all I need to know about him. His behavior and rhetoric continues to be reprehensible. He is a thug at heart.
