Except that you forgot one little point. Mueller is still digging and on the job. He has not been diverted from the task they gave him, and his silence recently only means he is not going to give up until he has the truth.

True. Don't mistake no Russia stories in the news as nothing is happening. Muller and team is grinding ahead without fanfare because there are not many, if any, leaks coming from his team.
Trump supporters are are looking Trump and his political and/or PR maneuvers thinking he is explaining everything away, but he has got real legal problems where in a court of law his actions do nothing to quell these issues. In fact they are making it worse for him, his family members and his team.
tripleh thinks there is no new news on Russia? The WaPo reported that Trump drafted the statement that said Jr.'s meeting was only about adoptions - the one the fell apart right after it came out. That's what happens when you lie so much you can't keep track of them. A DA or in this case a Special Prosecutor will look at that statement and who wrote and approved it and say that person is deliberately hiding the truth. This is not good for someone who says this story is a nothingburger witch hunt.
So, rank amateurism and incompetence. Almost as ridiculous as the notion that running a business qualifies him to run the country is the notion that he was actually good at running a business. The man has never had to answer to a Board of Directors. Trump organization is a glorified mom and pop.
And that was nearly half of the Americans' fatal mistake: their misconception that a "businessman" would somehow know how to run the country. Why on earth would they believe that? One of the most important factors an employer considers when hiring someone for a skilled position is their experience or lack thereof. And here we are, with a clueless narcissist running (not running?) our country and a truckload of Republicans who refuse to stop him.

The hubby's family (Kushner's) has been hawking Presidential Connection as a hook and lure to try and get funding to bail them out, and Jarred has been buried up to his neck in chasing down angles for Russian financing, and any other global underworld money figure he can find, trying to save the over-reach his family engaged when they thought the train of illicit monies would make a continual stop at their camp.
We still have many mouth's read to talk to save their own hides, Flynn, Manaford, Trump's Son, Jarred comes from a family where his father has already demonstrated lack of ethics, Comey has much that he can say, Spicer has much he can say, Reince Priebus has much he can say, and he has long time associates in the party to back him saying it, as the disgrace engulfs Scaramucci, he is quite likely to follow up on his back and front stabbing to try and save face, and we have not even began to talk about what the Intelligence sector of 17 agencies and offices.
Then we have to get into the Money Washing Network.... another massive network that has more mouth's that will speak when the heat comes and that heat can bring asset seizures, to jail time for many who want no part of loosing their assets and certainly they don't want to go to jail... and they won't sit silent to protect Trump and his gang.
At some point maybe even the drug sellers and weapons sellers will speak of their role in the "money spin game" when focus start bringing up names; the New York and New Jersey Mafia likely is developing their plans of how they will respond when the trails comes to their doorsteps as well. Should we likely look at Christie going down and loud mouth Guiliani with his ties and money gathering activities come up again.... The list just goes on and on.....

We just have to be careful that Trump does not start an "International Conflict of Warring Activity" to try and distract from the matter. Therefore "The Congress" must be prepared to stop any unwarranted acts by Trump that can lead to global conflict and war games.
We should all be concerned after knowing how unethic and how vile the antics have been, to know that this man will do anything, the more he is cornered... he will not hesitate to take down as much of America as he can, in pursuit to try and save his hide. American lives mean absolutely nothing, when it comes to the acts Trump will engage to gain wealth and save his butt. He's demonstrated that over and over throughout his life, from extortion level tax concession, to massive fleecing of the IRS and he has no history of anything humanitarian in his background.
America needs to be on Watch!!!!! and urge their congressional people, not to allow this mad man to take any international actions that can confound this nation into conflicts....any greater than what already exist.
Trump will have us embroiled in more than we can imagine, in his acts and aims to save himself, his money and cover up for all that he and his family have done and have been doing for the span of their adult lives.
His America First, may well mean, that he will "Take Down America First", before he will fess up to what he's done, what he aims to do, and how he plans to enrich himself and his network of cronies, both domestic and foreign.

It is ultimately the presidents responsibility to run an efficient and tight ship. It's like that in business where any CEO can be fired for something egregious perpetuated from the bottom rung. It is no different with a position as important as the white house. Only the incompetence starts from the top and trickles down into dysfunction in this white house.
Obama faced a republican controlled house with McConnell vowing to make him a one term president. Yet, the white house was run far better then Trump has done with a republican president and house. Why is that? It's not the deep state, it's not the crippled democrats, it's not the media. It's not every one else but Trump.
Good Catch !!!!! Every-time there is some development, Trump plans and create a distraction to send the media on a cycle.
The good thing is, "Mueller and his team" do not miss these relevant factors, if they shape it fully, it can disclose the endless array of "misdirection" that is Trump's Go To Methodology, when he is up against the wall and Truth is On the Front Line, or When he is in the process of Engaging Some Act that ultimately is damaging to the U.S. but beneficial to him and his agenda.
I'm very pleased that you brought this point to focus. The public might get distracted but the process that is undertaken by the Special Prosecutor does not gloss over these things, and the Senate even though they don't care to play it in the open, can't hide from what is revealed. They may do all they can to push it back and even try and bury it, but there's many watchdog groups, that are gathering data.
The more these groups collaborate, the more detailed the painting of this mess becomes.
American Elected a Hardened Criminal to the Office of the President, and this won't be easily lived down on the World Stage of Nations, and Future American Generations will be forced to be more Politically Astute and they are likely to be driven to do so from an early age.
Remember for many of us, as youth, we were introduced to Civic's in the 4th Grade, along with Current Events and provided with a "Weekly Reader" News Print which was a standard piece within the course.
Over the years with all the games of gerrymandering, and voter repressions, much focus was turned purposefully away from educating the young on matters of Civic's and Current Events. Although the more prominent and for certain the elite schools never backed away nor diminished teaching their young about current events, as well as how finances impact change in current events.
We Truly need our Networks to plan their segments, it does not need 4 different shows,all talking about the same thing, each one should pick a segment of these events to address and give focus.
