According to these projections, looks like the government will need another 900 billion a year for Medicare and Medicaid in just 8 years.
Oddly, commercial insurers costs are projected to only increase by 534 billion dollars considering 145 million employees, which means that costs will go up about $3,500 per employee.
Those numbers are being driven in part by the growing number of US seniors reaching retirement age.
Since our working age population is growing at a lower rate.
There are less working age Americans to pay into system while there are larger numbers drawing out of it.
