Yes, Obama lied --- a lot. If he got the same media scrutiny as Trump his reputation would be smashed.

However, Obama being a pathological liar doesn't absolve Trump from being a pathological liar.

Trump deserves the scrutiny that Obama largely didn't get.

I honestly don't think the truth is even something he considers before opening his mouth. It's as if it doesn't even occur to him that lying on a daily basis about matters big and small is maybe not the best idea. He just goes with whatever he finds convenient/beneficial at the time, with no regard to its truth and no regard to the future fallout when he gets caught in the lie.
