The fact that Don jr. is very likely guilty of a felony for admitting that he sought "something of value" from a foreign government will be the lever that DOJ uses to unseat Trump.

Jail time for baby boy, or step down?

Maybe The Donald will toss junior to the wolves?

Trump has made it his mission to attack the Judiciary, the Legislature, our national security apparatus , the Military and demean the Executive.

The entire government is now arrayed against him. Just a matter of time.

If it wasn't a "witch hunt" to start with, it is now . How's that work? If you "float" you are a witch? Trump is doomed.

Trump isn't going anywhere.
Sorry.

We shall all give your opinion the attention it deserves.

Still, I see it as win/win. Trump is the GOP's worst enemy. The longer he stays put, the less they accomplish and the more entertaining it shall be!

Haha, I was trying to figure out that article, until I saw this:

Andy Borowitz is the New York Times best-selling author of “The 50 Funniest American Writers,” and a comedian who has written for The New Yorker since 1998. He writes the Borowitz Report, a satirical column on the news, for newyorker.com.

Then I realized it was a spoof.

But I bet we will see tweets from Trump saying "See, even the NYTimes says Mueller called me to congratulate me !"

The longer Republicans back Trump's play, the more impossible it becomes for them to maintain that they barely knew him, he wasn't a "real Republican," that what he was not promoting the Republican agenda, ...

Trump can't resign. He knows Pence would not pardon him. Pardoning Nixon ended Ford's presidency before it barely got off the ground. Pence has too much he wants to change about the nation to trade any of that for pardoning Trump.

He also knows his financial empire would be in a danger, as any investor from now on knows their financials will get a close eye from the FBI.

This explains it nicely:

Right-wing authoritarians are people who have a high degree of willingness to submit to authorities they perceive as established and legitimate, who adhere to societal conventions and norms, and who are hostile and punitive in their attitudes towards people who don't adhere to them. They value uniformity and are in favour of using group authority, including coercion, to achieve it.
Right-wing authoritarians want society and social interactions structured in ways that increase uniformity and minimize diversity. In order to achieve that, they tend to be in favour of social control, coercion, and the use of group authority to place constraints on the behaviours of people such as political dissidents and ethnic minorities. These constraints might include restrictions on immigration, limits on free speech and association and laws regulating moral behaviour. It is the willingness to support or take action that leads to increased social uniformity that makes right-wing authoritarianism more than just a personal distaste for difference. Right-wing authoritarianism is characterized by obedience to authority, moral absolutism, racial and ethnic prejudice, and intolerance and punitiveness towards dissidents and deviants. In parenting, right-wing authoritarians value children's obedience, neatness, and good manners.
