Meanwhile, schools across the country are removing algebra credits for graduation, because it is a "civil rights issue."

Some teacher certification tests on testing the literacy of prospective teachers are being dumbed down for....civil rights. Why on earth would teachers need basic skills?

Meanwhile, we teach less computer programming than many competitor nations!

Logical arguments stand or fall on their own merits. Their validity has nothing to do with the number of teeth in the mouth of the person making them.

Yep, all races and states have higher test scores with higher income.

Is it really the higher income that is causing higher test scores though?

What came first the chicken or the egg?

The SAT and ACT does have a positive correlation with IQ.
What do SAT and IQ tests measure? General intelligence predicts school and life success.

IQ does have a positive correlation with income.
IQ and Income Correlate Closely

IQ is largely genetic in adults.
Genes don't just influence your IQ

If your parents have a high income, statistically they likely have a high IQ, which statistically means you also likely have a high IQ and statistically you can perform well on the SAT/ACT.

Furthermore, kids born into poverty who are tested with high IQs overwhelmingly work their way out of poverty. Over 90% of whites born into poverty with a high IQ will not be in poverty as an adult. The same is true for over 80% of blacks with a high IQ born into poverty.

Is it simply possible that smart people tend to make better life choices like studying, preparing, and taking careers seriously?

America hasn't gotten dumber.

It's gotten much more gerrymandered and that elevates the influence of the "poorly educated" so that an angry ignorant minority can hold onto power while losing the vote by millions.

The children of higher income families do better in school and on tests. Huge surprise here.

Smarter people have more money

or

People with more money are smarter.

or

People with more money have a chance to learn more things on tests.

Which is it?

California has already dropped from having the highest percentage of the population with a high school diploma in the 1970s to one of the lowest today.
I checked out the whacko web site where you got that chart. Are you kidding me?

"Institution for the Study of Globalization and Covert Politics"

This is truly tin foil hat territory. One of the more bizarre web sites I have seen on the Internets. It is worth a look because it is truly hard to believe that anyone buys into this.

Default Make America Smart Again!

99.9% of our learnin' problems would vanish if the Liberal Left would help challenge the Illiberal Left's postmodern bull****.
