A Georgia woman saved her own life and the lives of her three children when she fatally shot a gang member who entered her home early Thursday morning.
Shaquita Green called police around 2:30 a.m. to report that she had shot an intruder in her Cobb County home.
“It was either him or me, and I wasn’t going,” Green told local news affiliate WSBTV. “My kids weren’t going to get hurt and they weren’t going to see me get hurt.”
Go Mama!!-can't say I hesitate to protect my family--
what is interesting is the other fellow charged with the murder of his partner-wow HMM
― in Georgia, a person can be charged with murder if they commit a felony that leads to someone’s death ― as well as aggravated assault with a firearm, third-degree cruelty to children and false imprisonment.
It is a shame she had to shoot that guy but hey when you come into someones home acting like a gang member thug and threaten people then guess what, you might just get what is coming to you.
I would much rather read this story then read another about a mother of 2 being shot by a gang guy in her own house.
Nice coolness under pressure! Nothing so scary as a Mom protecting her own.
I think she needs to dump the Dad though..if this is what he's bringing to the house.
Nowhere did it say her husband/boyfriend was a gang-banger, but it seems likely that she knew the guys enough to let them into her house so probably. She needs to dump him fast.
