I'm just out of your "young" category, but if I had to base the future of the country on the way my friends and I acted when we were young, I'd be worried too. Fortunately, they're going to figure out who they are, what they want to be, what kind of world they want to live in, and stand poised to be the most successful generation of Americans there has ever been. The technology and creativity that is being generated right now is mind blowing.
I don't believe the technology will save us from ourselves. Right now, we're betting everything on that chance. And I think it's a losing bet.
I think this younger cohort today is far more interested in anarchy and cultural Marxism than we were 20-30 years ago. I was really liberal in my 20s and most of my 30s; I think most people around my age were at least somewhat liberal. But there were VERY few who were further left than I was, much less anarchists. Today, that's very common. It's astounding and awful.

Democrats are not leftists, Marxists, socialists, pinkos, etc. Most folks in the US have no idea what a real leftist represents or even looks or acts like. I seriously doubt they have ever debated politics with a true Marxist, member of the Communist Party, or even a left leaning European - all of whom might more properly be called "leftist".
Most young people just want a more equitable distribution of societal benefits - just like they did in the 60s/70s
No, you're right: the understanding is absolutely not there today. The widespread willingness to go along with anarchy and communism is based on a shallow perception ("it's cool")--not in-depth understanding.
But at the end of the day, that matters little. You're still part of the mob, no matter what's rattling around in your head.
If you noodle around online a fair amount, you get great cross-sectional representation. And since it is often anonymous, you often people's real feelings.
That's supposed to say "you often get people's real feelings".
Who raised them? If you don't like the "young" in America put blame where it belongs.. Who raised their parents? Put blame where it belongs.
Me? I don't always understand the next generation, but I recognize a more compassionate open minded people. That isn't a bad thing.
A great deal of truth in your first point.
Your second point is far off--they are generally not doing it out of compassion......and they don't value "open-mindedness" in the least.
(I will use a pretty broad definition of the word young----as adulthood becomes more and more delayed, I guess it's okay to call 35 and under "young"). So many of them think that it's cool to be an anarchist or cultural Marxist/communist. Most have never thought about it too much and don't understand things too well--but they've decided in some manner that those two paths are pretty cool.
They also rarely come right out and say "this is what I am", but their words regularly reveal where they stand and what they think.
And I am talking about a HUGE chunk of that age group, across all cohorts and categories.
Given this reality, America is dead as a successful society. One little nudge, and over the cliff she goes.
No, there are not that many anarchist.....it's just a few who give them all a bad name. And I have to laugh at those who think this generation is going to destroy the world. Every generation has said the same thing about the next....yet here we are and still surviving. Every generation gets smarter and more innovated. If they didn't, we would still be in the horse and buggy age.
Guessing someone got rejected by another Millennial.
Now that's some good, good wit right there.
Did you ever consider comedy as a career?? You'd be good at it. And make a killing! Seriously... I mean it!
