Just 2 weeks after announcing a YUGE factory in Wisconsin, FoxConn announces another new factory, this time, in Michigan.
Foxconn Technology Group, the world’s largest contract assembler of consumer electronics including Apple iPhones and iPads, said it’s in talks to invest in an assembly in the United States, responding to tweets by president-elect Donald Trump for American businesses to localise their production and bring jobs home.

Foxcomm is making the decision, as noted, due in part to Trump's tweets.

"Foxconn has a history of vaporware factory announcements, so Wisconsinites ought not get too excited just yet. (The Washington Post has a nice overview of the history—and the potential complications.) As well, the state of Wisconsin will offer $3 billion in tax breaks, meaning its taxpayers will be paying a cool million dollars per job."

Exactly where does the cited article state "due in part to Trump's tweets" as you allege?

In a previous thread about Foxconn you also alleged:

Something not stated in the previous cited article and yet to be supported by anything credible from you.

You're very quick to demand links/sources from others.

You'd think that Foxcomm would have confirmed the information with Republican Michigan Governor Rick Snyder, who's currently in China trying to drum up some business ventures for his state, but his office can't currently confirm that Foxcomm has committed to building a multi-billion dollar investment in Michigan.

Thing is, you don't need to spend multiple billions of dollars in Michigan to build an R&D facility in Michigan to investigate building autonomous vehicle components, which is all that Foxconn has been talking about.

I think it's great that Foxconn might spend several millions and hire hundreds of people in Michigan to build an R&D facility to research building automated vehicle parts, but they would have probably come to Michigan anyways, no matter who sits in the Oval Office. Metro Detroit and Silicon Valley are the two automated vehicle hubs in this country, and each is head and shoulders over what is being accomplished elsewhere in the world.

** EDIT ** Oh, that 13,000 Michigan jobs you cited? That's actually the 3,000 to 13,000 possible future Wisconsin jobs.

FAKE NEWS!!!!

Don't be fooled by the trolls.

This accomplishment is mostly on MI Governor Synder and Detroit mayor Duggan. It's a joint Democratic and GOP effort.

In fact, the Republican legislature in MI almost derailed the outcome with their meddling. Read about it here:

This is about Michigan. Not Wisconsin.
