That's why I switched from primarily CNN to MSNBC. CNN paid/pays Lord and others to be outrageous right wing shills and foils for their hosts. Lord was a setup man. I changed channels whenever he was on and didn't get the left outrage at his (paid) remarks .
If Jeffrey Lord was on the screen, I switched. Like Anderson said (and for which he shouldn't have apologized) - Trump could take a dump on Lord's desk and he would still defend him. Vomitworthy - always. Good riddance.
I never minded Lord being an advocate for Trump, but no matter how outrageous Trump's comments he never could concede that Trump went a little too far even in his most outrageous tweets. I was also getting tired of his historical allusions because most of them made no sense. He was supposedly some kind of historian, but he was a poor one at that because his analysis was painted with blind partisanship. In the end, he offered little to an intelligence discussion.

CNN, has made a huge mistake with their format. Most liberals don't want to watch people yelling at each other for a hour.
Lord was there simply to enrage, get people angry and upset like a liberal version of FOX .
CNN has some good presenters, but the formats suck, why would i want to watch adults pretend to fight, and hosts who let liars (left or right) just lie lie lie lie lie ...
MSNBC has a lot more chill.
