I will say, from watching the televised news on Saturday, that the Nazi's, etc., apparently showed up intent on violence, hence so many of them had their police-type shields, helmets, pepper spray, clubs, and even (so it has been reported) guns. Of course, each group had their own flag.
I did not see where those protesting the Nazi's, etc., were similarly attired or armed.
Well, you weren't looking very hard. One counter-protester was using a spray can as a flame thrower.

They were upset because they believe that "the left" is trying to destroy history. They basically feel under attack, and they believe that they are defending themselves. ...

This has been shaping up for a long time.. I'v said before, there is a reason why Trump does not fill Cabinet Jobs, and there has been "VOCAL" denigration of every organization, department, system, people, parties, states, politicians and any other whom "Trump has "attacked and condemned everything about America and its People", but he will not "condemn his foot soldiers"..... Are most of you getting understanding of the "big picture of what is going on"...
IT IS "EVIL"... and the sooner people realize "Evil is Real", then people can and will understand the evil force that is upon and at the head of this nation.
Do not fall for or get lost in any more "Trump Generated Distractions", because something evil is being promoted and Trump is at the helm of it, and has weakened our Nation's Governance, to set the stage for a massive take over by such evil forces.
The Federal Courts are many without appointed Judges, the Cabinet Jobs are unfilled... People... do you understand how to see the dismantling of a nation when it is right before your eyes. This is not by accident.. Our nation has a process which fills these position and Trump has ignored all of those processes and people are passive in standing up against what he is doing in the Governance Dismantling, and that is to his benefit to his objective.
Our Republican Congress is silent participants... they have accepted this madness without even a broad group whisper.
Pay attention to the reality of what exist... and you will see more clearly the dismantling of America. You will see the Evil Force, that has already "isolated our Allies", he has bonded with Russia, and any acts you see that speak otherwise is not true, the Russian connections was demonstrated at the G-20 and all the Allied Nations and G-20 Partners saw it and were appalled that it was so overt and brazen....

I don't understand the surprise, he's spewing the exact same garbage that he did his entire campaign! He clearly showed what a disgusting SUBHUMAN he is then.....and he's no different now!
While I'm sure there were activists , that peacefully wanted to protest, either against what they perceive as racism and the others that just wanted to preserve history. There were at least two piece of garbage hate groups. The Nazi/white supremacists and the antifa hate groups. And when hate groups decide to square off, bad things can happen, like some ******* snapping and deciding to drive thru the crowd.
How you are correlating this with Trump is beyond me. If anything the left has emboldened the Nazi garbage by making them believe Trump is on their side.
And yes, the piece of garbage that drove the car into the crowed should be charged with first degree murder, not sure how he ended up with second degree.
Wait, did they yell "Jews will not replace us" or "You will not replace us" as sometimes reported? The former would be strange as Jews are not a demographic numerous enough to replace anyone.
