You mean the photo that shows people running out of the way and no one behind his car? Explain why he didn't shift gears to reverse and get out of there while he was "braking" in this photo?
Reverse out of there and go where? He was driving from Main to Water on 4th. Main is closed off to vehicle traffic at 4th on both sides. It's an outdoor mall.
Look up Water St/4th St in Charlottesville on google maps. In the videos, he was driving on 4th from Main to Water.
Remember, he slowed down as he approached the congestion. He had no reason to believe he would be attacked from behind, so why would he choose to reverse 2 blocks on a one way street to avoid an attack that hadn't yet happened?
There were other cars fleeing that area, too. The two in particular that I saw driving erratically were silver or gray. One was the Lexus, the other looked like a Tahoe or similar. Both nearly smashed into 2 other cars at the next intersection to the left.
That was the last intersection where the minivan and him both blew through the stop sign passing a van on the right and cutting off a small black car blowing his stop sign to make a left.

Yep. They were fleeing attacks by lefties/Antifa. Just like the Dodge on 4th St.
Trump was foolish to make that dumb "fine people" claim. This will haunt him--he's already lost support.
He should watch the interviews with those "fine people" and revise his assessment, or he may seriously regret it. They are real interviews--no claims of 'fake news' can be made.
“They didn’t talk about Robert E. Lee being a brilliant military tactician....”
Its not an unreasonable assumption that people may have shown up whose only interest was in their heritage or the historical value of the statue, but unless he knew they were their for a fact he should not have stated that. Who knows if he was misinformed or if he just assumed "fine people" who only cared about the statue were there?
Be that as it may, how is that an excuse for the whole country to go off the deep end?
A lefty/Antifa attacked a car from behind causing it to flee forward. Not the first or only time the exact same thing happened in Charlottesville that day. Even a reporter on the scene, Taylor Lorenz, described the same thing happening to a Lexus.
What do you think happens when an occupied car is attacked and attempts to flee? That's why the left/Antifa shouldn't be attacking occupied cars. Scare the driver into fleeing, and unfortunately a tragedy occurred this time as a result. That's the left's/Antifa's fault. STOP violently terrorizing everyone with whom you disagree.
I wonder how the person hitting the car knew the car contained "the enemy" and not one of their own/an old lady who got lost/mother with infant etc.
Not a sarcastic q; I am really wondering.

If they're going to chant for them to leave and they actually do attempt to leave and those chanters are blocking them from doing so they are thugs at that point.

They didn't know. Same with the cars attacked in the other video I posted. One a Lexus, the other a minivan. The attacks were unprovoked and uncalled for, and created unnecessary, dangerous, and unfortunately tragic results in the accident they caused on 4th St/Water St.
Given the fact that both the Lexus and the minivan blew the stop sign at that other intersection to flee the attackers, nearly resulting in a 4-car collision, it's extremely lucky that no one was injured in that incident.
They didn't. Every car w/o a VA plate was considered the enemy (even though many of them were also from out of state).
Exactly. The Lexus had Florida plates. The Dodge on 4th St had Ohio plates.
And what is particularly odd about targeting out of state cars in Charlottesville is that many U VA (located in Charlottesville) students are from out of state. It could have been U VA students or their families bringing them to school for the fall semester that they attacked. They didn't give a crap. They were just hell bent on attacking others, unprovoked.
