Yeah, in many of the forums, posters who are obviously erudite individuals end up with glaring errors in their posts because they don't bother to proofread for 'automatic fill in' errors. I usually assume the person is typing said posts on a smartphone.

Nazis were NOT socialist, they were authoritarian fascists...also white nationalists and murderers.

How do we know the car was driven by a "white nationalist" protester, and not a Alt Left counter protester there to incite violence?

There were a number of Southern Democrats who supported Jim Crow and white supremacist views 50 years ago. Those certainly included Byrd in his early years. He however became much less a dixiecrat in his later years and publicly disavowed his earlier views.

The Dixiecrats left the Democratls over the last decades and are now solidly Republican. The Southern Strategy of Nixon. Basically the took their conservative and anti-Black views to the Republican party...and that now constitutes much of the solidly Republican south.

Any defense of this act is inhuman.
While this is a terrible and disgusting act, cars have been killing people on a daily basis. Gun violence is another virtually daily occurrence in America. We have been turning a blind eye to the violence in America for along time. The only time anyone seems to care is when racism and/or politics is a central theme/motive. Why do we ignore almost every other form of violence that occurs on a daily basis? Most first world countries are not this hate filled, divided and violent. People have tolerated all this violence for too long.

RIP counter protester.

Nobody "volunteered" into FICA.

You can't consent to anything while being under duress. No person has ever consented to be governed.

What lesson would that be? Cars can kill people?

No, not diminishing, but as often as what occurred decade ago is brought up, you would think energy would be directed at the current crisis of blacks getting murdered by other blacks, if you want to talk about the way to better blacks in the US.

Harping on lynching as if it is relevant today, is like complaining about lack of wheelchair access 100 years ago, it does nothing to resolve issues at the present, and serves merely as a diversion.

"edit" to add, plenty of whites were lynched also, just not nearly the rate blacks were, but it is a high percent given lynchings are basically associated with only being directed towards blacks.

Maybe because the car sat there watching and waiting and then drove directly into a crowd of anti Nazi protesters?
