...while much has been written and discussed about division in the GOP, mostly between Trump and the establishment, I think we are going to see continued anarchy on the democrat side with these pushes to the extreme left.
Leftists do not tolerate other voices, even on their own side:
I don't see this country remaining a two party country that much longer. I could see both parties splitting in two or more factions in the not so distant future.
When liberal/progressive policies fail, and they always do, their answer is "they weren't progressive enough" we NEED more government, taxes, programs, surcharges, agencies, bureaucrats, "fees"...........
I hope the left does split... then the right can split. About time.
I could actually see a more centrist/populist party form that would appeal to Trump voters and working class democrats. And no it would not be based on Trump, but some of the issues he ran on that resonated with disaffected white voters. There was some overlap on issues and concerns with his stated platform and that of Bernie Sanders and some of the economic issues he ran on.
I could see a coalition form while the left goes off the cliff with racial/gender identity politics and after GOP establishment is in bed with globalists and neo cons.
