It's a shame Trump is making the same mistake Obama made... Obama made the mistake of tip-toe-ing after any terrorist attack by addressing it for what it is, a radical Muslim following radical Islam. It made people question why, why are you acting like you are afraid to call them out. Trump is doing the same thing with White supremacists who are actual racists, not the generic label Liberals give to anyone who disagrees with them.

It's a shame because unless White nationalists stop having these protests and rallies or if Trump starts being very direct in calling them out and not anyone else, this could very well be the kiss of death for 2020. It's a shame too because most everything else, I think he is doing a great job.

The OP is watching too much TV. Trump's comments have been well balanced, moderate and appropriate on this issue while the media has foamed at the mouth. This is more winning.

I don't characterize anything about last weekend as "winning".

I disagree, I've been a strong Trump supporter ever since he first announced he was running, there has been a lot of things he has said or done that were taken out of context and knew it wouldn't stick. However, this is a bit different, while I don't believe whatsoever he is a racist or a KKK supporter, his hesitation and his insistence to call out the far left at the same time is the same thing as Obama refusing to call out Radical Islam and Radical Muslims. The good thing is that it is still early in his presidency, so he has time to start calling those racist mofos before next election.

I guess you missed him denouncing KKK, Nazis and white supremacists by name yesterday, huh?

Obama never said the phrase radical Islamic terrorism... ever.

So why are you rehashing this false narrative?

Because he likened them to the same as the far left, which isn't right. The KKK and the like are very clear with what they believe and want. The far left are just intolerant people thinking they are preaching freedom and equality, when in reality they just a bunch of hypocrites. I can't stand them, but the KKK and the far left are on completely different levels on the s***-o-meter.

No, he said both sides were violent, which is absolutely correct.

You are arguing untruthful memes, and ignoring the facts. So again, why?

If you don't see the difference between some stupid crazy idiots vs an organized group wanting to cleanse the country of everyone non-white, I don't know what to tell you.

The worst thing Republicans can do is seem like they are defending these people, just like it seemed like Democrats were defending radical islamists.

No its not.

the violence was between rival groups on each side looking for a fight. Each side owned hate filled intent and came prepared for battle. Trump referred to all hate groups to avoid having to name BLM and antifa, etc which would have caused a fire storm from the propaganda media to feed the narrative trump is racist. Trump condemned all hate groups. ALL hate groups. the media in return called him a friend of white supremists.

It was not a wink to the KKK. Trump's mistake was not naming all the hate groups involved. Trump spoke to the larger issue spreading across america compliments of the democrats fear mongering campaign and nagnification by the propagandized media.

What the heck is a white nationalist?

Right, with that logic, we were just as evil as the Nazis we fought in Europe.

When you are a minority or have minority friends you care about and then a group of people come to your community marching with the hope to cleanse the country of non-Whites, there is a clear evil... those who came out to anti-protest for the most part were good people with some bad eggs, however the other side were all evil, 100% of them.

A White Nationalist is a person who thinks Whites should be the only one in charge and exist in society. The fact you are defending these kinds of people is really scary to me to be honest.
