My 19 year old rarely uses social media. She burned out on it while still in high school.

Facebook, twitter, instagram...every aspect of their lives seem to get put on the internet.

Which explains half or more of the queries you find on various CD forums or elsewhere. While older persons may be able to live without FB, Twitter, or whatever, the younger generations are hooked. The internet has become their "world" or "peeps" if you will, and seemingly they cannot make a move/live without.

Proof of this comes also as those who commit criminal acts post pictures of their crimes on Instagram or whatever. Now if I were going to deal drugs or something illegal don't think I'd be in any rush to put it out there for God and the world to see.

I think among younger people that they would be extremely depressed if they couldn't go on social media.

How Much Time Will the Average Person Spend on Social Media During Their Life? (Infographic) – Adweek

Seems like the average person spends 116 minutes on social media sites according to one study which is not surprising at all.

Facebook is for old people. Young people use other social media that their grandma doesn't use.

But will they?

I know many who have put it on the back burner. Mostly older women I know using it now . Apparently there are other platforms that young people like better.
