Your guys admitted they were not trying to have a peaceful rally. Enough already. At least this man has the courage of his convictions and isn't hiding and lying about what his beliefs really are. Supremacists are annoying but the dishonest ones who pretend they are about non violence are the most hypocritical cowards of all. Woman up already.
Why do you think your friend is privy to what all or even a majority of Jewish people think or feel? Do you think they send him daily updates as part of their diary? He is one person his anecdotes do not represent millions of people. Get it yet?
It's really funny how twitchy and upset you're getting about this topic when I'm basically agreeing with you here that there's no homogeneous group to speak of and a lot heterogeneity, with the different groups sometimes getting along and sometimes not, just like any other country. He's one data point about many but it's not like he's observing anything ground-breaking, just the usual range of smooth and not-so-smooth relations among people in a diverse community, albeit a diversity that many outsiders may not be so aware of. About as bland and obvious a statement as one can make in the previous post, and yet you 1. completely misunderstand 2. give a totally wound-up and irrelevant answer 3. clearly show you're getting unnerved by something else, maybe a topic on another thread. I would never visit a restaurant in Berkeley, nor patronize Berkeley in anyway since they don't deserve my money, but I would like a list of all of the companies that do the firing of people who were simply there.
The Berkeley restaurant in question that had employed that white nationalist guy is Top Dog, which has some of the best hot dogs in town. It's not a stereotypical lefty place - in fact, the owners of Top Dog are known for their quirky libertarian politics - they have slogans and stickers such as I.R.S = It Really Steals.
Anyway, as others have noted - California is a at-will employment state. The hot dog stand thought they didn't want to be associated with a white supremacist as it may reflect on their image. Even libertarians have standards at times.
