I know what black pride means.. We all know what black pride means. Be careful asking a white nationalist or their supporters what it means because they will reply with lies...

Having pride in your skin color is about as dumb as it gets. Enjoy your proud moment

Exactly. Hell, with the number of branches on my family tree if race was a reason for pride I'd either be massively depressed because I'm not "pure" or I'd be an egotistical jackwagon because I have too many.
I don't think the other "pride" movements are necessarily great, but I do think you need to take into account the historic context for those groups. Blacks were sold like cattle, hung from trees, and denied basic civil rights. Gays were treated similarly poorly. Whites, by comparison have always sat at the top of societal hierarchy and been most in control. For the marginalized groups, the pride event took a different meaning than for the in-power group. It was "we want to demonstrate that we too should have the right to be equally valued." With whites, it's generally been "we want to demonstrate that we're still superior to the others."
What would be best is if we didn't have to have such a big focus on race and we could all just see each other as people and Americans who get the same fair treatment and social rights.
