People of all persuasions will find an umbrella to stand under that they believe fits their "idea" the best, even the most egregious among us. Not sure why this is so difficult to understand? You might want to check under your particular umbrella.

This implicit inferiority is links up with white supremacist explicit beliefs.
How do you explain blacks that lift themselves up and make lives for themselves and their families?

So why are they trying to protect the Confederate statues which by the way depict Democrats ?

Yes all those evil, slave owning, racist, hood wearing, cross burning, white nationalists that fought in the Civil War to keep black people in chains were Democrats.

It makes one wonder where the views of political parties on minorities really lie.
Enough with this myth. We all know that democrats used to be the conservatives and republicans the radicals. This is basic US history and changed between the late 1800s and early 1900s. Pretending this is not case to make a point is disingenuous. Stop already.

I think it has something to do with personal responsibility - like a strong focus on education and avoiding out-of-wedlock births.

The left apparently believes that African Americans and other minorities cannot lift themselves up on their own without government intervention. Sounds a little racist to me.

That was then, this is now. You can thank George Wallace. How the GOP became the “White Man’s Party” - Salon.com

Conservatives who feel the need to remind present day UNITED STATES Democrats that the Democrats of the Civil War Era were the ones who fought for slaves, etc. is beyond ridiculous.

Completely different political environment. A Democrat in the south wasn't and isn't a Democrat of California, Vermont, Michigan.

Just stop throwing it out there it does nothing for your integrity...

Lots of minorities are racists too and could vote Democratic.

BUt let's just say -- a White Nationalist party is going to vote Republican in today's political climate. It just is that way. Doesn't mean it represents the party.

All you need to know and debate are the words that I have written. Anything else is obfuscation and deflection.....your growth would be facilitated more by figuring the root reason you are trying to obfuscate and deflect.

There are no permanent friends or permanent enemies......just permanent interest. Hence, those against blacks have shifted from party to party.....and hence blacks interest have shifted from party to party because the majority of blacks used to vote republican at one time.
This is also the reason why new immigrants of color, like those from India, and also other places, who have brought with them their own ignorant prejudices, find common cause with white racists and vote Republican. The Republican ideology is a magnet for racism and hate. Never mind that they themselves are subject to white racism, they will still vote Republican.
