Don't stop with confederate statues. Let's not be hypocrites.

This flag represented legal slavery for almost 100 years so it is a symbol of slavery and should
be removed from the good ol USA.

And maybe we should abolish Massachusetts since those evil people were the first to pass laws making slavery legal in 1641. Boston was the center of slave trading for 150 years. Boston can be credited for making slavery not only legal, but they also used The Bible for their authority to do so.

And how about the US Constitution which supported slavery and even said blacks were not people? Shouldn't that be removed from all schools and government buildings?

And how about removing all statues and pictures of these presidents who were slaveholders?

George Washington
Thomas Jefferson
James Madison
James Monroe
Andrew Jackson
Martin Van Buren
William Henry Harrison
John Tyler
James K. Polk
Zachary Taylor
Andrew Johnson
Ulysses S. Grant

We must eliminate all of these evil things so that we will become pure and innocent Americans.

on top of that we must also abolish the democrat party since they were in fact the party of racism and hate, especially after the civil war, and slavery.

Obvious false equivalency argument is obvious.

That is all.

Oh lord, get over it. Geez.

This country has a slave past that it's been loathe to confront despite the vestiges and legacy of it being all over the place. People want to rightfully protect the memorabilia, but they want that to be the end of the topic. Doesn't work that way. If the losers of the battle to protect slavery want to remind us so badly about the nobility of their cause, and force the victors to respect the tokens of their past transgression (starting a war), then they shouldn't get mad at any request to explain themselves. The old "it's our heritage" line doesn't seem to work anymore. They need to come up with something better.

That said, watching those people yank down that statue in North Carolina made me very angry, and those people should be charged with vandalism and desecration of property. We can't have anarchy and disrespect for public property. That statue was donated, and should've been treated with respect. Then some jerk actually spat on it like a clown. There's a process to put up or remove monuments, and those rules should be followed. We can't have a free-for-all with people just ripping down monuments that they don't agree with. That's bull.

And likewise we would have to abolish the Republican party since they are in fact the party of racism and hate today.

I actually haven't seen any serious reference to anyone truly wanting to remove all things associated with slavery. It is more about recognizing slavery for what it was and recognizing those who actively supported, promoted and fought for racial oppression and slavery for what they were (and are?).

Lots of people will tell you that's been debunked.
What say you?

Why do you suppose so many people want to view the pyramids? Built by slaves. Bunch of racists.

Guess the White House has to go, as does D.C. itself, designed or built partially with slave labor. Even NYC and Boston, time to tear these monuments to slavery down, well if one is progressive enough.

I, among some Americans, think it is time for all the Parties to be abolished start over, or go our separate ways.
