DALLAS (CBSDFW.COM) – The debate about Confederate statues in Dallas intensified on Monday as a group made up of predominantly African Americans called for the monuments to remain standing.
Several cities across America have now begun to remove or talk about removing Confederate markers shortly after a white supremacist rally in Charlottesville turned deadly.
"Predominantly black"?
The only raclal makeup I see in that link is:
"Crenshaw, along with some Buffalo Solider historians and Sons of Confederate Veterans are coming together to help protect the Confederate markers from toppling over in Dallas."
Sandra Crenshaw is a black Former City of Dallas Council Member, I assume "some Buffalo Solider historians" are mainly black and "Sons of Confederate Veterans" are mainly white.

well this is a puzzle. will leftists call these folks 'racists'?
Why do you present such easy questions?
Did Jews police the Ghettos in WWII? Of course SOME did.
Did Blacks go on "slave hunts" with their masters? Of course SOME did.
Are Texans about the craziest (as a whole) people in the USA (need I mention Rick Perry and his "intelligence" who is now in charge of our nuclear weapons development)? Of Course!
Does big Oil Money control much of Texas and Dallas? Of course!
Was JFK killed in Dallas? Well - yes.
Could you find 1,000 African Americans in Texas who were "bought off" for any reason? Well, you certainly could.
I hope you have the answer you so desperately desired.

yeah I thought maybe I missed something. I wonder if the author of the article knows what "predominantly" mean. But maybe it is mostly black though.
The Left is not really tearing down these statues because they care what blacks want. I'm sure many maybe most blacks but not all would be happy to see them torn down, but scoring brownie points with blacks is not the real end goal for the Left. The cleansing of all American culture is.
I am sorry to inform you but the day the Southern states abandoned the United States in favor of slavery and decided to form their own country with secession they were no longer part of American culture.
They wanted their own "culture" hence they love their flags and statues to this day which included the history of slavery and discrimination.
Apparently they can't get over the fact that they lost the "Civil" War to the north.

unfortunately i do not. your attempted analogies make no sense.
are you implying leftists will call these folks 'racists'? or what?
Well good for them...it's a free country. I somewhat agree with them but they should be taken down from federal buildings and placed elsewhere. I think most Americans would be in agreement with that option.
Didn't read the article? They want to propose that the statues be moved from public lands, but they do not want history to be erased. They believe it's good to have reminders of these things to start conversations.
They are Buffalo Soldiers history buffs. All those people calling them Uncle Toms should be ashamed.
