The marching isn't the problem, it is their thinking that is the problem. Sane people aren't going to join hate groups.
It is the people who are mentally unfit who want violence and hatred. Giving non stop coverage of these groups just helps call more unfit people into it, just like the ISIS recruitment videos.

Ignoring worked better. According to the SPLC there has been a large increase in the number of hate groups over the past few years correlating to the increased coverage of these hate groups.

Want to fight racism? Get involved with other cultures. Move to a diverse area. Expand your social horizon. Educate young people. Be a good example in your thoughts and actions toward others. Stirring up fights and proclaiming you are against racism on Facebook aren't. helpful

Attention to these groups have been happening before this terrorist attack. People want to fight them, get in their faces, have screaming contests and be heroes. Unfortunately that just lead to more supremisists. Look at the number in Charlottesville. A few years ago that would have been 10 yokels, now due to the attention they were able to recruit hundreds.
