That's disgusting. Although, what I was thinking in regards to HCl and a canister would be the need of aerosol. That would be a pretty sophisticated set up I don't think most people would bother with.

There is something epic about students armed with pepper spray and church choirs armed with "This Little Light of Mine" standing up against Klansmen and Nazis armed with guns, clubs, shields, and canisters filled with concrete.

"I know we talk a lot of ***** on the internet"

THIS has been the problem with a LOT in our society for a while now. I'm going to say since 2001 at the very least. People think that b/c they are sounding off behind a keyboard and hiding behind screen names that when they are confronted and their views are challenged in public they believe at that moment it was all internet speak and "JUST" trash talking. Social media and vlogging and ranting and raving online has cost thousands of people their lives. Cyber bullying has claimed the lives are many children.

Some people do not know how to interpret a text message from a friend and they immediately think there is something behind other than what is said. The internet has caused people to assume all kinds of things about content read online. These forums are a prime example.

Now back to this guy. He's old enough to carry a gun and old enough to taunt and pull it out. He should know how to handle himself when the people they are calling enemies confront them. Call the police and go into hiding if he is afraid.

Christopher Cantwell (36yo) grew up in Stony Brook, NY and moved to Keene, NH several years ago.

When he was 19 years old, he pleaded guilty to charges of criminal possession of stolen property, possession of a weapon and driving while intoxicated. He spent four months in jail. He faced another DWI charge in and around 2009 accepting a plea deal and was sentenced to 45 days in jail (served 28 days).

He was on the Colbert Report for his anti government actions as part of the “Free Keene Squad.”
The segment featured Cantwell and two other men and their practice of “Robin Hood-ing.” They were seen saving people from paying parking tickets by paying the parking meters when people forget to. They also harassed the meter attendants. Cantwell didn’t get much screen time in the clip, but he did tell Colbert’s crew, “I find that when I carry a gun, people are very unlikely to hit me.”

Cantwell has been involved in a number of incidents in the Keene area since moving there.

Thanks for setting the record straight.

Why do people post such obvious lies? One right after another, no less.

A woman with walnuts for eyes could see that this guy did not get HCL thrown in his face.

Good grief.
Anyone with a walnut for a brain would see that poster had gone overboard and was talking about concentrated HCL, where one has to "suit up" to use it. She wasn't talking about the average, easy to get and easy to use, lesser strength acidic household products. There is a large number of household products that contain acidic materials. One can handle some of those household products without using protection on the skin, though not advised, and may see little or no damage to the skin, but, splashed/sprayed into the eyes and the eye damage would range from just irritation to the eyes to serious eye damage.

I'm a chemist and there is nothing overboard about dispelling these assertions with HCL. That is what the ALT right have been asserting. I would also be surprised if most would know the first thing about extracting anything of use from household chemicals.

Yeah, tell that to the 1500 people, since 2011, who had been sprayed with acid in the UK. The majority of those who have been using that tactic have been gang members, with a small fraction done by others. They use it because the acid is easy to buy and use, the acid is not illegal to have or to carry, and, most of those who are sprayed suffer from it for the rest of their lives. They often use hand-held acid-safe squeeze bottles instead of the larger spray containers that are often used here, though watching the videos the small squeeze bottles can be seen being used occasionally. It does not sound like the antifa sect in the US is using anywhere near the strength of acid that is being used in the UK. The US sect of antifa is probably using acidic household products. No extracting needed, they go to the grocery store/hardware store and load up, then pour it into their spray canisters.

There has always been fringe groups on the right and left. The fringe groups on both sides had remained relatively quiet up until the past couple of years. Current fringe groups had become bolder under Obama. Antifa was never really condemned by the left or right under Obama, and, because of that they had become even more bolder.

If Trump had given them a pass, like the left is screaming for him to do, then it would have made them much more bolder . they do consider what happened over the past weekend as a win..they see it as a "sea change"" in how Antifa is perceived". And , "This is a huge turning point and vindication for our movement".
Antifa: Left-wing militants on the rise - BBC News

The current antifa agenda has spread across the Western world (with the US becoming the 'former' US).

Oy vey. It was pepper spray. It was never acid. The guy is not blind. That's it.

With that said, it's a good thing that the alt right has cancelled their anti-google dissent protest in Boston to protect their right to disseminate bull rhetoric that women are intellectually inferior (without consequence). Pepper spray would be the least of their problems while across the Charles from one of the largest biotec hubs in the country.
