I think Pence would do just fine. Bannon will be gone long before any transition to Pence occurs.
The contrast between what is going on now with Trump and a Pence presidency will be quite profound.
Personally I am ready for a change. I have given Trump a chance but his priorities are more about him saving face then what is best for the country. My guess is the end is nearer than many think.
Regarding China. Confronting what? The N. Korea situation or trade? Trump just signed an order to investigate China's trade practices so something is in the works.
If/when Pence takes over, the anti-American left will simply shift their endless smear campaign from Trump to him. The left hates America and the Constitution and this is all about reclaiming power. When the left personally attacked and smeared RINOs McCain and Romney, it was about power, too.

I don't think so. My main objection to Trump is he appears to be crazy, demented, reckless, or just doesn't take being President seriously. I would be grateful for a regular conservative Republican President at this point. Anything but this daily madness.
