It won't happen.

Liberals are clinging to this wet dream of theirs because it's all they have.

Both. I am wishful, but feel there is a strong possibility. He looks like he has aged 20 years in the past 8 months, and even a nutcase like him can stand only so much. The only thing keeping him from quitting is his huge ego. He said he hates losers, and he would see himself as one.

Yet again "crying wolf". They constantly harp on some kind of nonsense like this. Remember a year ago? Trump has no chance of getting the GOP nomination. They need some windex and paper towels for that crystal ball!

Meh. Hard to say. Its certainly in the realm of possibility. People who actually know him are stating this, not just people who do not. And by this point I don't think he is enjoying life much.

Hasn't this been a liberal talking point from Day One?

Do I think it will happen?

Not really.

I could see it happening though. Trump's got a fragile ego; always has. It seems reasonably to play with the idea that eventually, he couldn't take the constant criticism, and step down.

To be clear, I'm not making a prediction. I just think the idea isn't entirely ridiculous.

It would be amusing if it weren't so disgusting.

That "no path to victory" thing didn't work out for them, so they went insane. Quite the spectacle. They don't seem to realize all they're accomplishing is another 4 years for Trump, should he decide to run. The silent majority is laughing at them.

I'm along the same lines here. I'd love it if he did, but I don't know how likely it is that he really would. I do think he's getting closer to that point. But I think if he does, it'll be more likely because a coalition of Senators from *both* sides make it be known his shenanigans will no longer be tolerated, and that they're both looking to get rid of him--and the flow of GOP Senators turning on him is growing. He's pretty much ticking off anybody who might've been an ally, and they're seeing all too clearly that he'll turn on people, vicious as a snake.

So he might get presented with a very strong 'suggestion' of "Resign, and save some face", or "Be forcibly removed, and be completely disgraced."
