The honest truth is that it would be incredibly refreshing to have a president we did not have to hear from or see every single day. One who is not so needy that he needs attention 24/7. It's like having a two-year-old who never lets you have a moment's peace.
Also would be great to have a president who doesn't bring his relatives into the west wing and give them vague titles, to help run the country.
We've had a dysfunctional special needs president & family for months--though it seems like years. It's hard to remember what a normal sane presidency is like, but I would welcome it.
The only model we have really is Gerald Ford. There will be a short honeymoon period with Pence because everyone wants this to be over and have a breather. Just don't let him pardon Trump or anyone else in the White House.
Pence will have to rebuild the administration and cement his position as President or he will just be a lame duck caretaker. Those will probably be the two main political perspectives but sidelined Trumpers will see him as a shameless usurper. If he starts pardoning people or begins pushing some sort of bible-thumper agenda he will face immediate opposition.

So even if Pence is far to the right, that's fine. People will take ANYTHING over Trump.
Just don't be a Russia toady and KKK superfan, tell the truth once in a while, don't brag about sexually assaulting women, don't call Mexicans murders and rapists, don't insult mothers of war dead, and people will give you the benefit of the doubt. Even right-wingers like Pence.
