Hillary was as confused as her followers. She actually campaigned in Texas. She must have been going after them popular votes.

Yes they do. But the right isn't prone to mob mentality, and when a group on the right does get violent the group isn't coddled by the right.

While we're toppling offensive symbols, what about the Democratic Party? - Chicago Tribune

Quote:
The Democratic Party historically is the party of slavery. The Democratic Party is the party of Jim Crow laws. The Democratic Party fought civil rights for a century.

And so by rights — or at least by the standards established by the Cultural Revolutionaries of today's American left — we should ban the Democratic Party.

Not only get rid of it in the present, but strike its very name from the history books, and topple all Democratic statues of leaders who benefited, prospered and became wealthy by cleaving to the party. And shame Democrats until they confess the truth of it.

The Democratic Party's military arm in the South was the KKK. The Democratic Party opposed the 14th and 15th Amendments to the Constitution, making the former slaves citizens of the United States and giving them the vote.

If the new Cultural Revolution was serious, wouldn't it also demand that the Democratic Party be put in a museum somewhere, away from decent people, along with those Confederate statues?
Very true post and luckily the Democrats are destroying their own party with all the nonsense they have come up with over the last months

No they weren't. Not that you care about the truth. But it is good to see your racism out in the open again.
Jim Crow was just another failed progressive policy. The complete opposite of conservatism. Take your agenda driven blinders off and look for the truth for once.

So up to date what I take away from this conversation is that stone statues are bad of people who have been dead for 150 years. But an organization that represented the very institution the Confederacy fought for and the Union fought against still exists but that organization is OK. Now they make up these lies that the sides switched and somehow the Republicans have NOT been the party that has steadfastly fought for the equal rights of EVERYONE regardless of their race for their entire history? Because the Republicans have ALWAYS been the party that expects much from everyone, does no condone laziness or victimhood they are the bad guys now. Very interesting stuff.

The simple truth is that Trump won the Presidency. Whether you like him or not (I don't, actually - but I didn't like Hillary either) he is the President. His opponents are doing everything they can to stir up so much turmoil that he can't do his job. It's ridiculously petty, but there you have it. Granted the Republicans didn't work with Obama, but they didn't encourage riots in the streets, either. If the Dems want to actively block the President at the legislative level, more power to them. I like it when the government doesn't do anything. But now there is a growing portion of the left which is encouraging and practicing violence. It needs to stop.
The underlined is a bulls$$t excuse. Half of you people would argue against the Electoral College, which is as outdated as coal, if it were not in your favor from gerrymandering. People talking about dogs that dont hunt? Well stating that Americans voted Trump into office, or shall I say the majority of Americans did is a dead dog that never hunted a day in its life. Completely false. So yeah, the person who was overwhelmingly voted for was the most popular and truly Americas favorite and most popular of the 2 candidates. The Electoral College does not speak for all Americans....but you can try and explain it all you want. The person whose comment you responded to is correct.

You've got to give the Democrats credit for keeping blacks on the plantation. During the slavery era, many black slaves were led to believe that their masters really cared about them and that they couldn't survive on their own without the protection of their masters. Sound familiar?
