I wonder whether he is gouging the US Government on prices for room, board, and any modifications necessary for protection.
I believe he will outspent Obama's 8 years of travel costs before the end of the year.

What gives you the idea that Secret Service agents do not need to be compensated for their time? Contrary to Trump's belief, slavery is illegal.
One issue they are running into is a cap on overtime with the SS, after a certain amount of hours they are no longer paid. That came into play with all the coverage required between NYC, NJ and Florida in addition to the sons trips. Only so many agents to go around.
The biggest problem is, Donald Trump has probably never had a budget to adhere to in his entire life. He squanders money like the water he wants to pollute.
I will make a bet that one sentence Trump has never uttered in his life is "Gee, it is still a week till payday, and I am a little short on money !". But a lot of us HAVE said that sentence, so how his cult thinks he can now relate to them and their problems is delusional. He doesn't want to worry about us poor folk, we are not in his league.

I think they are between a rock and a hard place. There is a cap on what they can spend yet they are required by law to protect the President.

And the excuses start with, "But Obama!" Did Obama ever hit the cap on Secret Service security hours? No, because he never came close to hitting the budget limit in the 8 YEARS he was in office. This clown hit it in 7 months.
