Trump tried to escape contoversy by not mentioning the hate groups from the left and right that were involved in and escalated the melee that caused the death of an innocent woman.
The hate groups were mixed in with legitimate protestors for keeping or removing confed statuary. The good people Trump referenced were the legitimate, non violent protestors not affiliated with the KKK, antifa or BLM, etc.
It is happenstance an innocent person was killed by one group over the other, considering the atmosphere BLM has created and the resultant death of police officers and KKK or white supremists and their associated violence.
The media and dems and swamp dwelling repubs without a spine, chose to accept the media's interpretation.
Trump was correct, however, in his off script remarks and argumentative confrontation he was not a clear as he could be. Though an intelligent listener would have easily known what he meant. Unfotrunately the media will take anything trump says and twist it to fit their false narrative. As for the repubs, they abandoned trump and deserve no return trip to DC next election. To see the spinelessnes of repubs is most discouraging, though second to a media propaganda machine spreading the soicalist democrats hate and fear mongering campaign.
