McConnell is NOT man enough to carry Trump's night soil. Ryan isn't either.

All McConnell and Ryan are doing is keeping Trump from making America great again, it's not that they won't pass the necessary legislation, they won't even put it to a vote.

Junior High 101.
Sure he was .... that's probably why "Trumps Agenda" passed through the Senate with flying colors.
It's no secret that the Elite Establishment GOP (and McConnell is about as Elite as it gets, next to Paul Ryan) don't like Donald Trump - didn't want him to be elected and have just about ZERO interest in working with him.

Their choice, their downfall. Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan may think they were elected by the entire American public - BUT they are Wrong about that.

This thread is interesting is that not one poster has commented on what McConnell actually said.

He doubts that Trump can salvage his administration. In effect, he's calling Trump's Presidency a failure..as that is what salvage means..to find some good in the bad..to redeem one's self from failure. To snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

7 months in..and McConnell has judged Trump a failure...wow!

Oh, I think liberals do understand the loyalty (which I would not term 'clarity') that Trump voters have. The problem for those voters is that (1) they are in the minority of voters and (2) Trump cannot get anything passed without the support of Congress. So he cannot afford to alienate any Republicans at all. Or he will not get his wall, his military expansion, his health bill---nada. He will be blocked not only by the Dems, but by the GOP as well. Obama had only to deal with the GOP---he at least had his own party with him.

If Trump cannot pass any legislation at all, he is already a lame duck. All he will be an ornament/cheerleader who goes to rallies. He will not be able to make any of his big 'deals.' His downfall will be his inability to play with others. He will basically be stuck in first gear, revving away and getting nowhere.

How pointless is this? Who has ever thought that Trump would lead that party? It was a foregone conclusion by republicans, that if they let him win the nomination, their party would suffer and likely collapse. The Never Trump movement, was the strongest element their party had and it failed miserably. When the final chapter is written on this catastrophe, they will be searching their souls about why and how they let it happen. Right now, they can be sure that the worst is yet to come.

America, however, under President Trump's brilliant leadership, will prevail.

President Trump does NOT have both Houses of Congress. They are held and led by the old-guard GOP, and Trump isn't in that gaggle.

Try getting some facts before you opine. It will save you much future embarrassment.
