There are parts of NY and CA that he won. He actually won in my district (sad!) although most around here aren't the rally-going type. He could probably do well on Staten Island(guess why? It's not because people there voted for him looking for economic opportunity) and possibly in parts of update NY.
I'm not very familiar with CA - I know congresspeople like Issa win their districts pretty handily, so he may have some opportunities there.
