The man needs to step down. With his narcissistic personality; they may need to drag him out of the office of the presidency, kicking and screaming. He needs to leave A.S.A.P; before he causes worldwide damage.
If he has any common sense and truly cares for America, he would do the right thing.

a. Mueller's team presses charges that are bound to stick.
b. tRump realizes he has no way forward.
c. Plea bargain: tRump agrees to leave, charges are dropped.
He has been instructed/indoctrinated to respond with, "fake news" when Trump is quoted.
