I want my President to wear his wedding ring if he is married. Donald: Put that ring on so you can stop all the speculation about the failure of your marriage to Melania.
Me and my wife do not wear ours and we have been married for a month less than 49 years. I gave up wearing one about one a year after I was married. I had a coworker/friend that jumped down out of a trailer and left his ring and finger hanging on a sharp piece of metal. The doctors could not even reattach the finger since it was stripped off the bone. Anyway; that was reason enough for me and my wife followed suit. Neither one of us were that fond of jewelry in the first place.
I am sure that our President worries about jumping out of trailers. Besides he needs all of his fingers when he talks!
Your dad isn't the President of the United States and he isn't supposed to be the one representing "traditional family values." Prominent Republicans deserved to be scrutinized for stuff like this because they are so insistent on imposing piety on everyone else.
If that is the standard then liberals need to be seen in straight jackets to represent their values.
My husband doesn't wear his wedding ring, either. He used to take it off when he played golf because it bothered him and then he misplaced it. When we found it, it didn't fit anymore so he gave up wearing it. He doesn't wear his watch, either. He doesn't care about jewelry at all.

I have news for you - there are no magic rings that will ensure a good marriage. That ring, worn or unworn, means only as much as what the wearer means. It's sure no sign of faithfulness. As anyone over the age of about 16 knows.
He most certainly can afford to wear a wedding ring, but why doesn't he? I find it odd. Melania seems to wear her ring, but I think it's for the bling factor.
There is nothing odd about it at all. Many guys simply don't like to wear jewelry at all. When I was married I never wore a ring and my exwife fully understood from the time we met. I always told her no matter what - never waste your money on me purchasing jewelry as a gift....it will just sit in a drawer somewhere. No watches, chains, etc. I know ton of other guys who feel the same way.
