Nonsense. Chances are, if those "gassed children" aren't European, we won't be sending troops to save anyone.
We didn't go to Syria because children were getting gassed. We don't give a damn about Syria or their children. The gassing was just a pretext to be used the way we used WMD as a pretext to go into Iraq. There are underlying interests that they aren't gonna state publicly.

When you get right down to it we've always been on the wrong side in the Middle East. Democracy does not work everywhere it is tried.
Our greatest Ally should have been Saddam Hussein in Iraq. Same with Syria, we are fighting on the wrong side in Syria just like we fought on the wrong side in Libya.
We shouldn't have been fighting for either side. There is no reason to sacrifice the lives of American servicemen and women to keep Middle East Muslims from killing each other.

You're the one coming up with some nonsense about children being gassed. Since when did the United States give a damn about that? Please! How many children died in Rwanda? Did we stop that? Children were being killed left and right in Bosnia, and we only stepped up because we came to the realization that the Europeans had no stomach to prevent it from becoming a much wider war. No one gave a damn about children!
Stop it. This country isn't that altruistic. If there's nothing in any tragedy that doesn't threaten our national interests, they can kill all the children they want. Who are you kidding?
