I confess that I did not. I didn't condemn the picture, either. I simply said it would have been nice to see babies of all colors represented.
Ya know, when I see a picture of a baby in either a PSA or advertisement I never stop and think, "hmmmm that's a BLACK baby or that's a WHITE baby or that baby looks ASIAN or MIXED or gee I wonder if that baby is 1/2 WHITE, 1/4 INDIAN and 1/8 BLACK and 1/8 KOREAN. We should have OTHERS represented!"
Instead I just see a baby.
In 2-3 more generations MOST people are going to be like some kids I know that are 1/2 Irish, 1/8 Chinese, 1/4 Mexican, 1/8 whatever.....or my friends kids that are Indian-Native Central American- Scandanavian-Spanish(euro) and lord knows what else.
It makes me wonder what certain people aren't seeing when they claim there's no runaway PC (or even "no such thing" as PC!). They're either misinformed, arguing in bad faith, or (most likely) support this kind of illiberal horses**t.

In fairness, it would be nice to hear some apologies from some of you on the right who had in the past not appreciated what the ACLU does for EVERYONE.

Honestly, I never would have seen the ad, had it not been brought to my attention. But yeah, I still like the idea of a rainbow of babies. Remember those old Benneton ads? Like that: all of us.

I joined the ACLU years and years ago to help support my gay friends and others. After watching them pretend the 2nd amendment didn't exist, while NY gun owners lost more and more of their rights, and were 'taxed' increasingly for their right to bear arms, I decided they didn't deserve my support anymore. Been about four years now. We'll see where they end up.
I just looked up a picture of one of my kids wrapped in an American flag shortly after we arrived in the USA.

Now the left would label that with nasty words.
Very sad and for a third generation Holocaust survivor as my kids are it is an even bigger insult.
We always had in our minds how great it was for a blond Jewish child to live and arrive in the USA, decades after my grand father and his family were send back from Ellis Island as they arrived with an illness and no money and were deported as at that time the officials were afraid they would become a liability.
We have the boat docs framed even though it is a sad part of our family history as my grand parents both died in Auswitz.
But we made it here and it would have been Hitler's worst nightmare!

But looking at the picture, that brings us back to the same potus feeling we had then and still have!

As a minority I have no clue why people like to F with white folks for no reason whatsoever.
It's done to stir the pot and create division.
I'm pretty exhausted by all of it.
Payback for perceived wrongs. When you grow up hearing over and over and over again all the crap that some people feed their children and one another, wouldn't you be pissed and passive aggressive?
Sadly, there's going to be backlash from all of this that takes us right back to the '60's - and it's not just on the part of white people either.
