Liberals always preached tolerance, acceptance and peace. But, the more footage of the protests and interviews i see the more i find them quite the opposite. No, they didn't.
Liberals banged heads with conservatives ever since the beginning of the nation.
With one exception- the civil rights movement, which was led by a christian minister who believed in non-violence.
That guy died because of his beliefs. That was a big lesson that non-violence only works when there are lots of folks who are willing to become martyrs.
There's no one willing to die now for the non-violent cause. It's a return to the old days. If one side comes armed, so will the other.
Trump had nothing to do with it. The Occupation movement's failure 8 years ago showed that non-violence quit working long before Trump was even on the distant horizon. Other, later events like Ferguson only reinforced the lesson.
That does not mean marches and demonstrations in the future will be violent, however. It only means that now, if violence does break out, it will be answered right then and there. That's the old school way that happened for over 180 years before the civil rights movement.
It's what got us into our revolution.

There are some tolerant liberals but we are seeing fewer and fewer as time goes on unfortunately. A substantial element of liberals are a violent mob waiting to be fired at someone or something.

Nothing new at all in it. 100 years ago, Mother Jones, an old lady who was fearless and ready to go at any time, said:
"These are fighting times, so go home and put on your fighting clothes."
Hundreds of miners listened to her and did just that. And in the end, they won.
But the times of non-violence have ended. If someone wants to start a fight, there will be someone willing to oblige.

So they need to change their speech.... Don't preach "we are all warm and fuzzy" when you are as evil as the other.

The righties on this site have to be told over and over that it's not intolerant to be intolerant of intolerance. They either can't grasp the nuance or they put fingers in their ears because they don't want to face the small minded hate that's a part of their own platforms with regard to people that are different than themselves. Refusing to tolerate intolerance is absolutely necessary for tolerance to survive.
