I wouldn't pass anything. Not trying to come off as arrogant, but it goes against every principles I believe in to seriously toy with the idea that one person should just make a law and pass it.

There are things I'd propose:
1. universal healthcare
2. reasonable term limits
3. reducing the Presidents war authority
4. campaign finance reform
5. breaking up monopolies

Just to name a few...

But I'd never support these things if one person simply decreed them to be. Public policy must have debate. Any effort to avoid this by any politician should result in that person's removal from office (I'm saying Mitch McConnell should be removed form congress permanently... just to name one person).

Me too. Too mean.

Although I would eliminate lobbying
Have Universal healthcare
More political parties
Deport illegals
Develop more affordable housing, especially for the elderly
Break up monopolies
Do something about welfare so that people could be eased off it. So that they would start working and still be able to keep some of their welfare until for a certain amount of time and until they earned enough to be independent. A time limit would apply. (An incentive to get off welfare and yet they wouldn't starve.)

This is a very amusing thread. Like Hellob I am very glad none of you have any real power.

My only suggestion would be to replace out current Federal Income tax system with its myriad complexities with a simpler and far more progressive tax. This would be based on all income from all, including criminal, sources. Once the incomes were know the 90th percentile could be determined and set as the base deductible. Corporations, as they are now considered individuals, would have their retained earnings considered as their personal income and used to determine their taxes.

The primary effect of this tax system would be to place the cost of running the country on the 10% of the people that profit the most from the country. The other 90% of us could use our money for whatever we want.
