To where and how? From what I have heard is that all the interstates are impassible. The high rises might be the only high ground in the area?

"Real Republican" at this point means a globalist that wears red instead of blue.

I get why trump turns people off. He's definitely a flawed individual. But it's important to separate trump the man from why people voted for trump. MANY people voted not for trump the man but against the "real Republicans" who have sold them out for a generation.

I filled up today @ $2.08 - I'm good for a week.

The mistaken bill of goods sold to most Houstonites is the reservoirs provide flood control.

They don't.

Who here read the same lies in the press that they were in "good shape".

The level of Lake Houston was at 41 ft just before rains began and every drop of water landing has drained below.

Even if Lake Houston was drained fully, I calculated the current flowrate would fill it to the brim in 4 hours.

I again am not saying Lake Houston will fail.

As long as Conroe doesn't fail and rains stop soon, Houston will be fine.

This is just me muttering.

Of course Hurricane Carla hit Landfall over 100 miles north of Corpus Christi .... I was there also.
As to "those towns would be much of a loss" ...... the 45,000+ citizens that live in that Coastal Bend area probably don't agree with you that they are not worth much.

I tend to agree with them.

You'd think Osteen would have learned something from the blowback from Barbara Bush's 'Marie Antoinette comment' about the people sheltered in the Superdome during Katrina.

Are they definitely looters or are they people in dire need of help? People could be trying to get the attention of the rescuers - but I don't really know. I am just holding off passing judgement until I hear all of the facts.
