We shouldn't do what Ted Cruz and other Texas Republicans did to NY/ NJ during the Sandy aftermath

If you don't want to help fellow Democrats in need, that's your prerogative.

Seems like every time there is a disaster somewhere in the world, the U.S. is one of the first responders to offer aid and assistance in many forms.
Mexico has offered to help.

That poster doesn't want to help anyone in need. But it's laughable that he'll stiff fellow Dems just because they live in a red state.

Texas can start "charging" it's residents state income tax.

That should bring in a few billions to help rebuild.

I would be all for taxpayer-assisted recovery efforts to help our fellow Americans in Texas and Louisiana. But then again, I'm a bleeding heart liberal; conservatives in Texas probably don't want my money because of "socialism."

And, of course, when a big earthquake hits here in coastal California, I know I can look forward to conservatives on here gleefully saying "good riddance," "let them rot," "see, God is punishing them for being liberals," etc. I'm guessing they will not reciprocate my giving mood to them at this time.

How about the damn insurance companies for once?

And if a natural disaster like this occurred in Blue State California today?

Trump: Well, they want to secede, so this will be their first big test without us! Have fun! I'm off to Tahiti for a week!

Reconstruction in TX? Not if they're going to rebuild wood frame structures along the Coast! Hurricane-proof, OK, otherwise, no money!
