Yes, of course the Texans should be helped.
I was disgusted by our elected officials' behavior in 2012.

I'm also disgusted by people saying that Texans deserve hardship and heartache for "voting for Trump." Outrageous and ridiculous.

Yesterday, Trump said "$ millions and millions".

Think the state legislators in that conference room were thinking "$ billions and billions".

Regardless, it's going to be up to Congress to approve beyond claims to the Federal Flood Insurance program.

The Federal Flood Insurance program was $23 billion in debt before Harvey with no reasonable way to pay off that debt. No telling what Harvey flood claims will cost. Reportedly only 2/10 have flood insurance.

There are hard and soft $ costs. Will the cost of the National Guard and military chopper rescues become a part of the cost? Loans at low/ no interest? Shelters? Need to relo people ?

And then there's the magilla of the infrastructure. It's a $ trillion.

We should remind the Texas Delegation of their treachery during the Sandy Crisis. It's only right after what they did.
They didn't do anything except stop government waste from being attached to a relief bill. If that's bad than you have a twisted sense of good and bad.

But it is refreshing to see the progressives once again show their love for spending the peoples money and getting us further and further into debt. Consistent at least.

The conservatives were trying to offset Sandy spending with taking it away from foreign aid. You're probably all peachy with giving that away too since that's "humanitarian".

You could make the same argument about Conservatives, especially those who profess their Christianity the loudest. In general, good people come under all kinds of political labels. As do bad people.

No they weren't that's just something you made up.

They didn't do anything to warrant being called out. You made it all up.

Nothing to do with obama. You made that up. At least you didn't falsely play the race card.

No the shoe isn't on the other foot. you made that up.

Money for Alaskan Fisheries.
A push to get money for Palau an island in the West Pacific
You had non union workers turned away unless they joined a union.
In New Jersey, $25 million was spent on ads that included somebody running for political office. That's Federal money.

But you go ahead and make more bs up and don't address any of the pork that was in the bill.
The Texas Delegation is not on record complaining about money for hatcheries, or Palau. Now you're just lying.

Cruz wasn't against the bill on any principle...he was simply trying to garner political points for being the most fiscally conservative guy in the room and trying to make a name for himself since he was a rookie. A total canard, since this disaster proves that he's nothing of the sort. You Texans love your pork just like everyone else.

Your state Delegation is nothing but a load of fake, lying hacks and political opportunists. Now, your hands are out...standing there looking like Oliver Twist holding up his bowl for some porridge and exhibiting puppy dog eyes for sympathy.

Phonies.

The Texas Republicans who did that in 2012 should be ostracized while the Feds hand you guys your check.

And why are you whining or whinging (if you're a Game of Thrones fan)?

It's funny that you're making fun of someone whining but you're doing the same exact thing!

Alot of states had representative and senators who voted against all the pork in that bill. Its funny to listen to many people who dont even pay taxes scream about this, during the first five years of the of Obama administration the federal government spent a total $3.7 trillion on approximately 80 different means-tested poverty and welfare programs . Amazing to see all the fiscal conservatives coming out of the woodwork now

I am calling them out. Calling you out too for supporting the hacks...especially since you voted for them.

The Texas Delegation sneaks pork into every damn bill under the sun.

Oh yeah...why isn't Cruz or Cornyn demanding this bill be offset with other government cuts NOW???

Oh I know...because you Texans elected a bunch of phony, lying hacks to represent your state.

GOP is slapping on the pork for the wall construction etc as we speak. This puts Cruz and other TX lawmakers in a tough spot, because they cannot vote for the bill without looking like major hypocrites.
