I never understood why Stormfront bothered people to begin with. All it is is a forum just like this one. Hell, half the stuff they say on there is no worse than a good portion of what's said on any online forum, including this one.
If it's offensive, don't click on it. Seems simple enough. Besides, some new website will just pick up their regulars, or other remaining race based websites will pick up the slack.
But losing Stormfront isn't gonna change anything.
well said. but in the end is stormfront really gone? their ISP may have dropped them, but if this guy has the money, what is to stop him from setting up his own ISP, and running his page from there?
This is extremely troubling if you value free speech.
Well if Stormfront values its right to "free speech" as you say they should also have the financial means to support their "hate speech" also on a website which they own.
100% free speech isn't all that some crack it up to be. Some voices should be suppressed.
This is very short sighted, there is plenty of people out there that would love to trample all over your rights or the rights of others for the the things you support. Freedom of speech is one way street, you either support it or don't, if you don't you are putting yourself in the position of having your rights infringed. Why this is not understood by so many I'll never understand.
If they're shutting down hate sites, the DNC domain should be next. I've seen more hatred and intolerance from liberals in the past couple of years than has ever been displayed by the alt-right.

This is not an overzealous federal government shutting down free speech.
It is the right of private companies to stop their association with any entity that they feel is detrimental to their business, which includes the image of the business.

None of that applies here, they went after the domain and that is controlled by ICANN which is a quasi government organization.
