Activate THAAD. Shoot the next one down. Then blockade the North.

Grow a pair, Donald.

We can intercept scuds and pehapse certain other missiles but I not confident we could shoot down multiple ICBMs.

Yup.

Also, didn't Cult 45 claim Trump solved the NK issue? It wasn't too long ago that they claimed Trump's bluster make Kim back down.

Gee... what happened?

Agreed. There's no good solution there.

And our response is...?

Bannon had it right. There is no military action we can take that won't illicit a response that kills tens or hundreds of thousands, if not more, South Koreans, US citizens in Guam and maybe many Japanese.

North Korea is a sovereign nation that wants to be seen as playing on the same level as other world leader and is using nuclear weapons to, in their view, get there. The only option we have is to get with the rest of the world and try to sanction Kim's regime into submission or bribe them to stop developing these weapons.

All of this "fire and fury" or "lock and loaded" talk is just that and Kim knows it. Trump drew his own meaningless red line. The other day when Trump said that since Kim has not taken any new defiant actions in response to Trump's "tough" words, he is respecting what Trump said. Well Kim responded and just stepped over the red line.

Is Trump going to start a war and attack North Korea in response? Not likely (hopefully), which is exactly what Kim knows.

Kim is not suicidal, he wants power and knows how much he can push the US and the rest of the world to prove he is playing the the big leagues. Short of Kim attacking another country, he is going to push to that limit to play at the same level as the US, which in their view justifies and legitimizes their regime. His engagement and our response is exactly what he wants, because he know we can't take any military action because Americans won't want to send troops back into a war in Korea and we don't want to risk Kim's immediate response which would be to attack South Korea, Guam and possibly Japan.
